NetEnt Enters New Jersey Via Churchill Downs Agreement

A gaming operator from New Jersey, USA, Churchill Downs, has entered into a supply agreement with Netent – leading provider of premium software solutions in iGaming.

After successfully applying for a license in Pennsylvania, the brand has continued to spread into multiple regulated markets including Norway, Lithuania, Canada, and Sweden. By signing an agreement with one of the largest betting operators for horseracing in the United States, the company is also effectively expanding its presence within the northeeastern region…

Important to realize is that the provider already signed supply contracts with Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, Hard Rock Atlantic City and Tropicana. Managing director at Net Ent Americas LLC, Erik Nyman, said:

“We are excited to start delivering our popular game titles to Churchill Downs, probably most known for its iconic flagship horse-racing event, the Kentucky Derby. With our thrilling game titles, I am confident that we will be an important contributor to growth in online casino for Churchill Downs.”

A Proven Player Favorite

According to Ian Williams, president of Churchill Downs Interactive, the award-winning supplier is a leading gaming force in each market and adding hits such as the ever-popular NetEnt title, Gonzo’s Quest, along with Starburst or Jumanji is certainly going to lift the iGaming experience to a whole new level.

Williams also said that the racetrack announced a full-scale launch of sports betting services during the first quarter of 2019. In addition, the operator entered into an agreement with SBTech, whose platform will be used to mediate software and other casino products.

Important Financial Boost

The agreement also represents a capital investment for NetEnt, since the company recorded a revenue decline in the UK during July. At the time, the newly appointed CEO, Therese Hillman, said she couldn’t be convinced in a steady financial growth over the next two quarters, which, as a result, initiated further selling opportunities in other industry landscapes.

On Thursday, October 25th, 2018, the group will publish its interim report for the 3rd quarter. Apart from Therese Hillman, the event will be attended by analysts, media and investors. Moreover, the presentation will be held in English at the company’s offices at Vasagatan 16, Stockholm.
