Prairie Meadows In Iowa Ready To Launch With William Hill

Whilst Iowa eagerly awaits its lawmakers to approve wagering on sports in 2019, the state’s land-based outlets are making final preparations to launch.

Among such sportsbooks is Prairie Meadows Racetrack & Casino, whose latest partnership agreement with William Hill, UK’s top betting site, has empowered it to kick off as soon as the legislation receives approval.

The arrangement was signed on Wednesday, January 16th and it grants Hills exclusive rights to provide sports book operations at the venue. US chief executive officer, Joe Asher, stated the following:

“We are excited about the prospect of sports betting in Iowa and are thrilled to partner with Prairie Meadows to be ready for the day when sports betting is legal in the state.

We are building a first-class sports book that will make Prairie Meadows the place to bet and watch the games.”

Establishing World-Class Sports Betting

The bookmaker has recently announced the launch of seven sportsbooks in Nevada, increasing the number of its outlets across the state. However, the country’s sports betting leader is also active in other territories, including Mississippi, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and West Virginia.

If the pending legislation in Iowa gets the regulatory approval, William Hill will provide its services on an 8,600 square-foot property, near the racing course. According to the report, this entire area will be arranged in compliance with the latest standards, incorporating a bar, video wall technology with monitors for following actual results, live broadcast and betting odds in real time.

Prairie Meadows president and CEO Gary Palmer gives us more insights by saying the following:

“We are thrilled to partner with William Hill, the best name in sports betting, to establish a world-class sports betting experience for our guests.”

In like manner, senior vice president and chief strategic officer, Brad Rhines, comments:

“We are excited to expand our resort offerings with a fully renovated clubhouse that includes both our racing center and new William Hill sports book. Once the legislative process is complete, this innovative partnership will provide many fun and unique sports betting options for our guests.”

William Hill Speeds Up Expansion

Despite its plans to reduce UK exposure and focus its attention towards other marketplaces, the bookmaker has entered into two major agreements in the previous period – in November it was a supply deal with Netent, whose live games are available on operator’s platforms worldwide. The library now encompasses networked offerings such as roulette and blackjack.

In January 2019, the gambling giant has finally been given green light to acquire MRG, as speculated months before… The purchase is estimated to be in the ranks of $307.4 million and it will cement the operator’s footprint in various regulated landscapes, including Malta, Denmark, Ireland, Sweden, Italy and Latvia.
