Resorts Casino cleared to enter New Jersey Online Gaming

Resorts Casino Hotel may be New Jersey’s oldest casino, but they certainly aren’t letting technology pass them by. Resorts has been granted a transactional waiver by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE), meaning they’re cleared to launch

This real money online casino is in partnership with Sportech NYX Gaming LLC., a top European casino game developer. Mark Giannantonio, President of Resorts Casino, discussed this relationship by saying the following:

“As New Jersey’s first casino destination, Resorts is committed to delivering the best-in-class online gaming experience in the Garden State by partnering with gaming leaders, including SNG Interactive, which houses Sportech and NYX Gaming Group. With SNG’s flexible gaming solutions and exclusive game content, we’re excited to introduce Europe’s industry-leading casino slots and table games to the United States market for the best online user experience.”

Now granted with a transactional waiver, is in compliance with the DGE and ready to offer yet another online gaming experience to New Jersey residents. As for what this experience will entail, Resorts claims they will “feature the largest selection of casino slots and table games in the state of New Jersey as well as exclusive titles and highly coveted content that are unavailable anywhere else.”

The hope is that Resorts can turn around their sagging revenue numbers by launching an iGaming operation. They ranked last among Atlantic City casinos with $139.3 million in 2014 revenue. But this could easily change because they plan on featuring 100 online casino games in the beginning, with this number increasing to 300 in the future. Additionally, Resorts is also partnered with Amaya Gaming, which has yet to gain licensing in New Jersey. Here’s a look at what Resorts wrote on their FAQ page regarding the future partnership with Amaya:

We plan to launch our real money online casino with more than 100 games. And in our first year of entertaining players, that number will jump to 300. That’s on top of the poker games that will be offered by PokerStars and Full Tilt. Resorts has built an exclusive relationship with PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker, two of the most popular and powerful online gaming brands in the world. This means Resorts will be providing New Jersey with the best online casino and poker sites with the industry’s most competitive products.
