Scientific Games Acquires NYX For $775 Million

Scientific Games has successfully purchased all NYX Gaming shares for mammoth ($775 million CAD), thus becoming the lawful owner of all its subsidiaries, sportsbetting, and gaming platforms. The company has struck a deal at $2.40 CAD per share, which is far higher than the actual price.

The new deal will grant SG access to all casino products from NYX, including exlusive sportsbetting brand OpenBet – a huge gaming subsidiary. A very vast catalog of top-notch slots and other casino games will be incorporated into the company’s library and some of the titles like Gorilla Go Wild, Merlin’s Magic Respins or Spin Sorceress have already made immense popularity among players all over the globe.

Matt Davey, current NYX chief executive officer will lead a Digital Gaming team for SG, which is to deliver Sportsbook to lottery networks and online markets. The developer’s platforms can contribute an incredible casino experience, due to flexible technologies of OPS (Open Platform System) and OGS (Open Gaming System). The deal is yet to be revised, as it has to undergo shareholder voting, which is expected to be completed next year in January.
